Berlin/Zandvoort
(rol) The ASL-Team Mücke Motorsport from
Berlin-Altglienicke will start at the Marlboro Masters, one of the
prestige-magnificent events of the For-mula 3, from August 6th to
            8th.
The motor racing team from the German capital will have a new entry
besides its all-season driver in Formula 3 Euro Series, the Canadian
Bruno Spengler, the German Daniel La Rosa (Hanau), who is normally
driving in Formula 3 Euro Series for the Team HBR. Both will compete
            in
            a Dallara-Mercedes.
            With
these cars ASL Mücke Motorsport has been the most successful
              team
on the circuit in the North Sea dunes last year, taking the victory
              with
Austrian Christian Klien and adding a sixth place finish with the
              German
              Markus Winkelhock.
            "Obviously
that was an enormous success for the drivers and the team as
well", em-phasized team owner Peter Mücke.
            "One
of the key factors has been the support of Mercedes. The powerful
              engines have proved reliability too."
            The
57 years old Mücke, a three time European champion in auto
              cross and
the first German to become Dutch champion in the youngtimer touring
              car
series in 2002 on his legendary Ford Capri (built in 1974, about
              450
horsepower), is expecting his two Zandvoort drivers in top positions.
"Certainly it will be difficult to repeat last year's success.
              But we
will face the race well prepared and highly motivated."
            The
20 years old Spengler as well as the two year younger La Rosa have
reached podium finishes - both as third - in this year's Formula
              3 Euro
Series season, from which in total 26 drivers will take part in
              the
              Netherlands.
            "They
get the great chance to stand the competition with the best
drivers from the most important Formula 3 series and to prove their
ability to take a further step in their career, as Christian and
              Markus
have lined out last year" adds Peter Mücke.
            Therfore
Klien, who finished second in the F3 Euro Series and won his
rookie cham-pionship in 2003, is actually Formula 1 driver at Jaguar
              and
Winkelhock (overall fourth in 2003 F3 Euro Series) starts for Mercedes
in German Touring Car Masters (DTM).
            Both
have taken their careers to a higher level, what would have been
impossible without the effort of ASL-Team Mücke Motorsport.
            The
team from Berlin, this year in its seventh season in formula 3
racing, is known as a challenging environment for young talents
              of the
ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg (unit of the most important German automobile
club) and has already created champions.
            Just
one example is driver Stefan Mücke from Berlin, who won the
              Formula
BMW ADAC series in 1998 with a record of 15 wins in 20 races. In
              2001 he
finished sec-ond in the German Formula 3 Championship. Today, the
              22
year old driver is racing in the DTM for Mercedes. The ASL-Team
              Mücke
Motorsport won the championship title in the Formula BMW ADAC last
              year
as well with the German Maximilian Götz, who is part of the
              lineup of
the Formula 3 Euro series now, as well.
            Furthermore,
the team finished second in this series in 2001 and 2002.
For this the team was decorated with the title of the best team
              in the
Formula BMW ADAC and Formula 3 Euro series in the last year.
            "We're
focused to improve these results in this year's season. Thanks to
all our spon-sors, who are the base for such success" team
              principal
              Peter Mücke closes.
